Would You Believe?

Jeremy Lin got banged around tonight, had eight turnovers, and then calmly drained a three pointer to win the game.

I yelled so loudly that I scared the wife. Still giddy.

ONIONS!

Unbelievable, it really is.
I thought, "Well, he got points and assists but it's still kind of a bad game for the kid, but it had to come." And then he just owned the last two minutes.

Tell you what, New England sports radio is luvin on him.

Still giggling about this one.

Seriously, anyone who didn't see the game, just somehow catch the last couple minutes in highlights. It's uplifting. (Shumpert did himself proud too.)

We hung around for 30 extra minutes after hoops tonight following the game on the iphone (before we returned to our awesome spouses who let us out in the first place).

Just got home, missed everything in the 4th. Was it on MSG of ESPN? If MSG, then I won't feel bad about it.

Wonder if Jeremy Lin is the 2 x 4 that will break the camel's back on this impasse. Sure hope so.

Hey, I'm not an NBA fan at all, but I still can't believe what I just read on the, ahem, Bay Bridge Banter:

I thought you might be interested.

Having time warner sucks so much, I hate them. Actually, I hate all cable companies.

I was forced to watch espn2 and the snippets of the game they were showing.

You can watch the Knicks on 17 different channels in China but you can't see them in Manhattan.

I haven't followed the Knicks closely for years and years, but this kid has got me back on the train. Unreal.

It's a crazy mixed up world. Cablevision (owned by Dolan as is MSG) blacks out Yankee games for an entire season because Yes wanted terms less drastic than MSG is asking of Time-Warner for the Knicks/Rangers. Cablevision keeps Fox off the air for some of the baseball playoffs because they said Fox wanted too much for clearance on a new deal. Now Cablevision is demanding ridiculous rates and more (like Fuse getting on a lower tier of service) from Time-Warner...who's the villain?

I loathe the Dolans, and the MSG ticket prices, and his meddling (although he does want to win and will put resources in his teams). I happen to have Cablevision, and the only thing keeping rates down is a threat to move to Fios. It's a good thing that the Rangers and Knicks are doing well, it's a shame that Manhattan and other locales can't see it on television. Good for the bars.

If Dolan gets his requested rates, how much will cable service be in the city? It's old school corporations wringing the last penny out of customers. We'll be streaming this content soon for much less...

Go Knicks!

If Laura Linney robbed the cradle and married Jeremy Lin, she'd be Laura Linney-Lin.

Brendan Brown, son of former coach Hubie Bown, was calling the game with (somebody else) and when Lin got the ball and stood there dribbling, he blurted out, "GT OUTTA THE WAY!!! Just let him take Calderon all by himself!" Then Lin drew in on him, shot the trey in his face, SWISH! Ice-cold. Brown started giggling. I got the chills. This isht is unreal, I can't wait to write the screenplay for this one.

F$€÷ Jason Whitlock and muthaf$€÷ Floyd Mayweather... And if you know me, that carries a lot of weight >;)
