The Yanks lost a dud of a game yesterday, 6-2. This afternoon their best pitcher, Michael Pineda will pitch. Love to see him pitch well again, go deep into the game, and help give the Yanks a series win.

Shake off yesterday.
Gotta plant the broccoli, had to go with yellow squash but did pick up a string bean plant.

Glad that was a hit and not an out.
Chance for yet another k.

Gardy steals. The earth shakes.

What a goddamn performance by Pineda. He could make a run at Guidry here.

I think Teix looks a little like Alfred Molina in The Man Who Knew Too Little.

Yo RBJ, You ever plant broccolini? I knew it's pretty expensive at the market but it's so tasty. Is Broccolini just baby broccoli or another strain in the broccoli family?

I was watching MLB network because I assumed it was a Night game. They then show highlights mentioning Pineda had12 ks. whoa! At least I've been able to see 13 and 14. Couple more, Big Mike!

Nice leather, Didi

16 Alex Belth   ~  May 10, 2015 2:22 pm

That's a big out by Didi.

17 rbj   ~  May 10, 2015 2:23 pm

[13] Don't know, never heard of it before.

So Pineda had an acceptable game?

21 thelarmis   ~  May 10, 2015 2:36 pm

pineda = WOW!!!

22 thelarmis   ~  May 10, 2015 2:38 pm

23 rbj   ~  May 10, 2015 2:39 pm

[20] Well he did give up a run, but otherwise it's acceptable.

24 thelarmis   ~  May 10, 2015 2:43 pm

3 walks this inning.

pineda has issued 3 walks all season!

25 thelarmis   ~  May 10, 2015 2:45 pm

shouldn't need him this afternoon...

26 Ara Just Fair   ~  May 10, 2015 2:45 pm

I hate pitch counts.

30 rbj   ~  May 10, 2015 3:07 pm

One down

31 rbj   ~  May 10, 2015 3:08 pm

Two down

32 rbj   ~  May 10, 2015 3:11 pm

Strike three!
I wonder who the player of the game is?

33 thelarmis   ~  May 10, 2015 3:17 pm

was it necessary to have dellin throw 23 pitches?

34 RIYank   ~  May 10, 2015 4:58 pm

Didn't get to see it -- I was driving back from Maine. I did listen to John and Suzyn.

Michael PiƱeda is the real deal, huh? He actually had a shot at the record, if Joe had left him in. (But I'm glad he didn't.)

35 Mr OK Jazz Tokyo   ~  May 10, 2015 7:14 pm

Watching the game now, Pineda is filthy!

Great to see Jorge in the booth, he's still a hard-ass.

36 Mr OK Jazz Tokyo   ~  May 10, 2015 7:20 pm

Jorge: 'Kids today are too spoiled'. You tell 'em, Jorge!

37 RIYank   ~  May 10, 2015 8:41 pm

Mr OK, can you answer Alex's [13] question? I think broccolini is Japanese.

38 Chyll Will   ~  May 10, 2015 9:20 pm

[37] Indeed it is. And I'll bet it tastes almost as nasty as Pineda's slider...

39 Mr OK Jazz Tokyo   ~  May 11, 2015 12:01 am

[37] I've seen that but steamed vegetables..usually pass on that. Will ask Grandma OK Jazz here, she cooks all the time and likely knows all about it.
